Job Title: Exterior Install Technician – Windows, Doors, and Siding

Scheduled Hours of operation: M-F, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm

Primary Purpose

Exterior Install Technicians lead the the installation team and are typically paired with another installer. Their role is to remove/ install windows, including replacement and new construction. They also install exterior doors and siding. This includes measuring, cutting, framing, moving material, caulking, wrapping, and other various tasks. They abide by all safety regulations while on job sites of existing or new construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as leader of the team, train, mentor, develop others
• Perform work per job specifications promptly, being quality-minded and safety conscious
• Assist in identifying problems related to exterior products to determine the best repair practices
• Assist in the removal and installation of various types of windows, doors, and vinyl siding
• Maintain professional interaction with all customers

Work Environment

Renovation jobs take place both indoors and outdoors in all sorts of climates. The work can be physically demanding, requiring manipulating tools and materials, climbing stairs and ladders, and operating in tight or awkward spaces. Renovation jobs may require long hours that include some weekend and evening work.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Requirements

3+ years of experience related to:

• Replacing vinyl windows and patio/entry/ storm doors, required
• Framing experience, required
• Vinyl siding, soffit, and facia installation, required

You need to:

• Have your own equipment, including a ladder, logo-free vehicle, brake, tools, etc
• Comfortable completing replacements above the ground level (2nd or 3rd stories)
• Detail-oriented and strong level of commitment to quality, taking no shortcuts
• Complex understanding of construction principles and procedures
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable truck/van for transportation
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, be physically agile, and lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must have an Android or iPhone with data plan.

This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
